There are several options for drawer construction, and the best ones offer strength and storage flexibility.  57NORTHPLANK uses only locking joints, such as the dovetail shown above.  These provide significant strength and maximizes the surface area for gluing allowing secure, tight connection.

57NORTHPLANK exclusively uses English Dovetail drawer construction. They provide a stronger drawer, with a significant holding capacity.

57NORTHPLANK uses soft-closing door hinges and drawer glides.  In fact, we only offer soft-closing glides and hinges.  Great for everything from desks to dressers, self-closing drawer slides will close a drawer softly even when slammed shut. The drawer runners are both undermount as well as being a full extension glide, this allows for increased storage space in the drawer.  Each drawer can be easily removed from the glides.  All of our doors also feature a soft-closing door hinges.  Our slides and hinges are available in a variety of sizes to best fit your door and drawer size.

All of our furniture is custom made.  Whether you order from one of our standard sizes or a tailored size to fit your home, every piece is constructed specially for you.  We have no warehouse of stock or a backlog of unsold items we will try to ship to you.

57NORTHPLANK will begin the design and construction as soon as you order it.  Just supply us with a complete list of options and the dimensions of your new furniture piece, and we will get to work.  Also, remember, we pledge to have your furniture on its way to you in no more than 12 days. If we have not finished constructing your piece within 12 days we will refund you 20% of the cost of your furniture.

Every piece of 57NORTHPLANK furniture uses either solid hardwoods or quality veneers and plywoods, and we never use MDF or particleboard in any of our products.

57NORTHPLANK sources most of our wood locally (from the American Midwest). We will take no detail for granted, from the hardware selection to the exact dimensions.  Our process ensures we build with the best materials to your exact dimensions and standards.

Moreover, every piece of 57NORTHPLANK furniture undergoes a thorough inspection before it’s shipped directly to its new home and the inspection is always signed and dated.
