Product Description
Every shelving piece of the Oppen line has an open back. Paying homage to some of the best Scandinavian furniture designs, this piece has a clean and unfussy look to it. The thick solid wood shelves provide extra support but also match the substantial frame on the rest of the piece. The open back allows greater flexibility in positioning the piece in your home. It can be placed against a wall but it also can be centered in a room too.

Every bookcase shelf along with the surrounding frame of our Oppen line of furniture is constructed from solid wood nearly an inch and a half thick. This provides exceptional strength and reduces the chance of the shelves bowing under the weight of even the heaviest of books.

Product Care
This furniture piece is finished with clear lacquer. Use a slightly damp cloth with a mild soap solution to clean the surface then dry with a soft cloth. Avoid using bleach or ammonia. Clean up any spills immediately and try and not let any water stand on the surface. Because this furniture is made of real wood, both humidity and temperature can affect the fit and longevity of the piece.

Returns
If for any reason you are not satisfied with any of our products you have 10 days for a full refund for a standard sized or a 50% refund on a custom sized piece minus any shipping costs.
You also have 15 days from the time of delivery to contact us regarding any defects in your furniture. We will either replace the item or the defective part. We can also issue you a refund instead of a replacement. For detailed information please visit our page here.
Shipping
Our rates for shipping are 12% of the total cost of your order. Your products are shipped to your door using a preselected shipping company. We personally package everything in order to prepare it for shipping. We will contact you as soon as your furniture is finished to set up the delivery. Most deliveries take 3-5 days to reach your residence. For more information, our shipping page has additional details.

We love our new small bookshelf. It it perfect for kids’ books in the nursery. The walnut wood is gorgeous. The only small complaint is how heavy it is even for a smaller piece (I suppose due to it being solid wood). We had to have a neighbor come over to help carry it up the stairs. Still very happy we purchased it.

This squat bookcase works perfectly for our family. I had the height customized to be a few inches taller to better fit larger books. The shelf moves easily and they gave us a few extra shelf pins. The first shelf that was enclosed with the piece had a large dent on the top. They were were apologetic and I had a replacement in a couple of weeks.

Chunky and yet attractive bookshelf. I asked the cabinet to be built 12″ in depth instead of the standard 16″. I am really only planning to use it for books next to my bed. The process of changing the size was easy. Maple looks great and the piece is definitely sturdy with the thick wood.
